Dakota Johnson: Lead Naturalist
From right here in Fort Worth, Texas, Dakota attended TCC and Texas Wesleyan pursuing a degree in Psychology. She is a YMCA Camp Carter veteran. She has worked here now for six years in a multitude of positions including the overnight camp program during the summer. Dakota’s hobbies include reading, fishing, and camping.
Tyler Haltom: Naturalist
Tyler comes to us from our Northwest YMCA location where he was a group leader and counselor in their youth programs. He is no stranger to camp as he worked with us as one of our summer camp counselors last year. In 2014 Tyler earned his Eagle Scout ranking, the highest rank the Boy Scouts of America has to offer. Tyler is also currently working toward a degree from Tarrant County College.
Karina Engeling: Naturalist
Karina, a Texas native, earned her degree in Wildlife Management, Sustainability, and Ecosystem Sciences from Tarleton State University. Previously she has volunteered with through Foster’s Home for Children as a Livestock Caretaker helping youth show their livestock projects at the county fair. She was also 1 of 30 selected for the Texas Buckskin Brigades Program, a very prestigious honor.
